Hayden's 1st Week at Daycare

Well this past week has been a busy one for us with a lot of firsts: My first full week back to work and Hayden's first full week in daycare... Or at least that WAS the plan. With a young child in the household we are quickly learning that plan vs. reality are rarely the same thing! Late Sunday night into Monday morning Hayden developed his first real cold, he didn't sleep well and neither did Ray or I. We ended up keeping Hayden home from daycare Mon, Tues and Wed. Ray was such a good Daddy and stayed home with Hayden on Monday and Wednesday, but had meetings on Tuesday, so I took the Tuesday shift.
On Monday, Hayden spent his time learning a new trick in his play yard, we call this the smash face look...

Here is Ray and Hayden working from home on Wednesday:

But Hayden resumed his daycare activities on Thursday, so we have all survived the week of firsts: back to work, starting daycare AND first cold.

Happy Halloween!

Well - I've finally succeeded in creating a West Family Blog. I'd like to start it off by saying Happy Halloween to all of our family and friends.
We got into the Halloween groove with our young son Hayden by visiting a local Pumpkin Patch. It was quite the experience! Hayden was a good boy and humored his parents in all of our craziness!

Look how big he is! at 6 months he's almost 26# and 28.5" tall!
He was able to experience his first train ride with Mommy and climb in a haystack with his Daddy.

After it was all said and done, we found a GREAT pumpkin - or at least Hayden thinks so!
